8 years. A love letter to our community.

We started Savee with one simple idea, create a place that brings you joy. I think we did that.

This whole thing actually started ten years ago. Me and Ramon walking in New York, dreaming about what we could build next. Six months later we launched a small private beta to 80 people. On July 21st of 2017 we opened it to everyone.

What a journey.

We moved to the US with a dream and absolutely no idea what we were doing. Looking back at the photos, we also lost a surprising amount of weight in the process. Apparently building a company is a diet.

I am writing this for our community and for everyone who has been with us, helping shape Savee and making all of this possible.

As designers, one of the biggest joys is to create. Inspiration, trial and error, the quiet moments that eventually turn into an idea that makes sense. I always loved walking by a coworker’s desk and seeing the hidden stuff, the folders no one ever sees, the places where ideas are born. Savee came from that curiosity.

Savee began as an experiment. No plan to become big. Just a gut feeling and a desire to build something we were proud of. Something people genuinely love using.

Building a platform for others.
We are on a mission to bring great inspiration to designers around the world. That means trying new things and building tools that help you create. Last year we recorded a design course about craft with fundamentals of visual design, where we talk about type, color, layout and motion. Now we are working on a new portfolio tool I think you will love. We are also expanding our Marketplace to new creators, and honestly, we are just getting started.

Exit plan
We don’t have one. We have never been more content with what we are building and we want to keep building it. A place that brings people joy and serves our community. That’s it.
